Ok this book picks right up where the first one left off- Sasha has been told some things about her past and her heritage. She learned that she is part Shadow Wolf and when she stopped taking the injections she was able to turn into a She-wolf. When she does finally turn not long after that she comes into heat for the first time. Let’s just say that Hunter is a good man and doesn’t leave her wanting for anything. While she is in Heat she still has to locate her pack brothers which she has learned are her Familiars- Woods and Fisher. Familiars are not full Shadow Wolves but have some of the same DNA they are there to protect Sasha. There is a bad Werewolf kidnapping Shadow-wolves and using their blood to come down from a demon-infected high. Vampires are involved in the kidnapping and draining of Shadow Wolves also. Hunter and Sasha have to find the bad Werewolves and control the spread of the contagion. High ranking humans are involved in the spread of the contagion too. Shogun shows up and makes a play for Sasha even though he knows that she is Hunter’s life mate. All kinds of things happen and everyone ends up at the United Council of Entities where people go on trail in the paranormal communities. There are Fae people, Vampires, Werewolves and other supernatural beings that belong to paranormal communities.
I will always love Hunter.. but i hated how they made him sick or almost out of control.. He's a good male and always thought of his people and sasha before himself... MMMMMMMM a Hunter and Hunter sandwich
