Christine Feehan- Dark Challenge

Julian Savage was golden. Powerful. But tormented. For the brooding hunter walked alone. Always alone, far from his Carpathian kind, alien to even his twin. Like his name, his existence was savage. Until he met the woman he was sworn to protect…. When Julian heard Desari sing, rainbows swamped his starving senses. Emotions bombarded his hardened heart. And a dark hunger to possess her flooded his loins, blinding him to the danger stalking him. And even as Desari enflamed him, she dared to defy him - with mysterious, unparalleled feminine powers. Was Desari more than his perfect mate? Julian had met his match in this woman, but would she drive him to madness…or save his soul?

Well I am back to the Dark series- haha. My thoughts- I liked Julian from the beginning, but like all the Carpathian men. He was extremely bossy and arrogant BUT what separated him from the other for me was he had a sense of humor. Once he got his emotions back he was not afraid to tell Desari exactly how he felt about her. Desari, who he thought was a human when he was sent to find her and warn her about the threats from the crazy humans who call themselves vampire killers. There was an attack on her and her band members and she was shot so he had to give her blood to save her then her family swooped in to protect her so he took off for a short period. Desari and her family are in fact Carpathians also that escaped centuries before during the war when they were just small children. Desari and her brother, Darius are Gregori's long lost siblings. Julian explains the Carpathian ways to them and tells them how he and Desari are lifemates and they are bonded for life.
So yeah I thought I would read this book and skip to my next series but this book was left wide ass open so I had to read the next book to know what happened.
My Rating: 4
