Lucian, the twin of Gabriel, has to be one of my favorite Carpathian males yet. He is funny and just takes things as they comes. His mate Jaxon unfortunately is like all the other females in this series. She is a cop and thinks she is super tough and can handle any situation. Her step dad kills everyone she gets close too and with him stalking her and now the undead stalking her since she is so flipping special Lucian has his hands full. Of course she does not listen to him and goes in guns blazing on every situation but in the end it is Lucian who saves her ass. I think he could do better lifemate wise but I didn't write the book, but I will say there were some really good parts in this book that involved Lucian. Yeah I sound a little biased but whatever, I liked him way more than I liked her.
