 Fantastic, Sensational, Superb & DELICIOUS are only a few words to describe this book. I have not read such an awesome first book in a series in a long, long time. Witches! I’m so use to vampires and werewolves that it was great to have a break and I picked a first-rate series to do it. The marvelous world of Hot men and witches just draws you right in from page one.
Axel and his group of friends are Witch Hunters, they were once protectors of all the Earth Witches but due to a curse they were turned against all the witches. Some now hunt the witches to kill them for their blood, they have bloodlust whenever they are close to a witch. To control their hungers they all have sex with mortal women. The hunters are drawn to the witches for their power too and once they kill the witch the hunter turns rouge. Axel and his men refuse to hurt any witches and still believe in their God, the Wing Slayer, who disappeared when the witches cast the curse.
Darcy thinks she is just a normal mortal woman until a few rouges try to kill her. Axel gets there in time to rescue her from the rouges only to kidnap her for himself. His little sister had a death curse put on her due to their father, who is a rouge now, killing a witch. Darcy learns she is a witch and quickly learns magic but she does not have enough power or control to save the little girl on her own. Earth witches are very sexual and being that close to Axel things happen and when I say things I mean GOOD things. Amazing things happen in this book, I could not put it down. I found love, humor, hope and life in this story and look forward to reading the others in this series. I have a favorite top ten series and someone was just bumped off because this series is phenomenal.
