Night Magic- Jennifer Lyon (book 3)

THEIR LOVE IS DESTINED TO RISE AGAIN
Ailish Donovan is a witch ready to do battle. Raised unaware of her powers, she is just sixteen when her mother tricks her into binding with the demon Asmodeus. Pure-hearted Ailish escapes with the connection incomplete but pays a heavy price: For the next eight years, she is shunned by her earth sisters and tormented by Asmodeus’s lust. After hardening her body and mind as a champion kickboxer, Ailish returns home to break the bond—or die.
The Wing Slayer Hunter Phoenix Torq is sworn to protect earth witches, but he is shaken by Ailish’s fierce independence—and his own forbidden cravings. Dark, impulsive, and haunted by his troubled past, Phoenix likewise arouses Ailish in ways she finds disturbing—and irresistible. Torn between mistrust and desire, each must go to hell and back to seek the magic that could set them both free.
Well I read this book in one day, that should tell you something about how great it is. Let's start with Phoenix- 6'4" of pure muscle with black hair and black eyes. To me he's one of the funniest guys in the book. He loves Chuck Norris and Chuck Norris jokes so really how can he not be funny. In Axel and Sutton's books we learn that he is hearing a female voice singing to him, of course he thinks it's one of the other guys playing a trick on him. But the voice keeps getting stronger and then the pull to find the voice hits him. Phoenix finds the female behind the voice but discovers she is a witch, a blind witch who is using her voice magic to try to get rid of the bracelet around her wrist. Ailish is an earth witch who was tricked by her demon witch mother and handfasted to Asmodeus, who is a demon trying to take over earth. Phoenix who has phoenix wings tattooed on his biceps knows that Ailish is his soul mirror and will do anything in his power to save her and break the handfast agreement. If the handfast is not broken in 14 days on her birthday then she will die and so will Phoenix. Ok this is where I am going to stop talking about the book because I will give too much away again. But let me tell you this book and the pull between Phoenix and Ailish is combustible and magnetic.
