Sherrilyn Kenyon - Born of Ice - The League Series (Book 3)

In the Ichidian Universe, the League and its ruthless assassins continue to keep rule. But at what cost? Welcome back to the future…and a whole new world.
On to the next generation, this story advances forward in time to the now adult offspring of the heroines from the first two books. Devyn Kell, the only son of Syn and Shahara, becomes a doctor for the League, until the day a life changing decision had to be made. Forced to chose an order and let a child die in front of his eyes or tend a few fellow soldiers minor injures thrust an action from his heart and soul that never made him look back. Defying his commander and the League he is now a runner, a pilot that transports supplies and medicine to planets in need. Unable to let go, Merjack, an old enemy of Devyn’s father won’t give up until revenge is successful and this family suffers for events from the past. Holding Alix Garran’s mother and younger sister hostage, Merjack forces Alix to take a position as a System’s Aircraft Engineer with Devyn’s crew. Working as his spy, she must find or plant damaging evidence against Devyn to free the family she loves. Before the planned events unfold, Devyn uncovers Alix’s past and the job she is doing. Despite the hurt, he hears her out, understands and believes in her. Together a new plan is developed to flip the table and put an end to this timeless vindictiveness.
My Rating - 4

On a personal note.
It has been such a long time since I have posted on the blog. The past several weeks have been so exhausting, I haven't even felt like doing much reading. But,.... like everything, time marches on and this weekend I got my new computer up and running (quite and accomplishment for this old gal LOL). The effects of the tornado will be with my family for a long time but we are safe and alive and that is what matters most. Thank you all for you kind thoughts and messages. You will never know how lucky I feel to have such caring people in my life.
