Lifeline Echoes- Kay Springsteen

LIFELINE ECHOES is an engaging story of a man and woman who have each lost a love so profound that they don't trust themselves with the vast feelings and emotions that are awakened and ignited when their paths collide on a back road in Wyoming.
Sandy Wheaton is still mourning the loss of Mick, a man that seven years earlier she had fallen in love with, agreed to marry while only hearing his voice and all in 24 hours. Immediately after being told of his death, she leaves her L.A. life behind to travel and ends up settling in a small town in Wyoming.
Ryan McGee is still searching for Angel, his lost love, when he receives an urgent message from his brother Sean that he is needed back home at the McGee Ranch, a home that he had left 16 years earlier in a cloud of mystery, resentment and betrayal.
Kay Springsteen writes a captivating story that is well paced where you find yourself becoming endeared not only to the main characters, Ryan and Sandy, but the Town people themselves. The author's writing drew me into the town and shared with me each emotion that was experienced and it ran the gamut. Not only was I hoping and fretting that Sandy and Ryan would find a love that would heal their hearts, I felt their sexual tension as they tried to work out their past commitments and their rapidly developing romance. I cried as Sandy recalled her conversations with Mick, and I got caught up in the "who done-it" mystery that plagued the McGee Ranch.
This book is a good read if you are looking for a sweet but saucy romance where you get caught up in the life of small town and the stages of falling in love. And I did. I'm looking forward to continuing the journey with Ms. Springsteen and the next book in Elusive Echoes. http://www.theromancereviews.com/viewbooks.php?bookid=2897
