Seth’s time is running out. If he can’t hand over the key to Olympus and the heart of Zeus, then his own life and soul will be forfeit. No matter the torture, he hasn’t been able to break the god in his custody. But when a rescuer appears, he decides to try a new tactic.
When these two lock wills, one of them must give. But Lydia isn’t just guarding the gates of Olympus, she’s holding back the darkest of powers. If she fails, an ancient evil will roam the earth once more and no one will be safe.
But evil is always seductive…
Sold into slavery as a child to one of the primary powers, the Egyptian demigod, Seth, has spent 4,500 years in the realm of Azmodea and its dungeons. To gain a reprieve from torture and pain from Noir, he agrees to help his master find the key to Olympus by capturing the Dream Hunter, Solin. Unable to break Solin with beatings and abuse, Seth is running out of time to acquire the information until he finds the leverage needed to accomplish his deed. Caught trying to free her father, Lydia now is being help prisoner in secret until Solin returns with the key for Seth, The Guardian, to present to his ruler. Away from all eyes in Seth’s room, two enemies thrown together now learn to see more than what is in front of them. Allowing themselves to understand one another, and feel the love they have is a feat thought impossible by both.
This fifth installment of the Dream Hunter series is awesome! To top it off, many past characters like Jaden, Madoc, Zarek, Carson, Colt, Dev, Jericho, Delphine and Menyara sprinkle the pages with an appearance. While even more are mentioned and talked about. This great read is why we all love Sherrilyn Kenyon’s work. There is just one thing I recommend, before you starting reading this story, have a box of kleenex sitting beside you,...you are going to need them.

I really liked this book- to me it was like the first few books in the DH series- I wish it would have been longer. Seth is what I like in a leading male character- not exactly broken but not exactly completely whole either. The end was a two kleenex read for me
ReplyDeleteYou're recommending a book that requires a box of tissues?
ReplyDeleteWell that's good to know so I'll save it until I'm in the right mood.
