The Story of the Sword of the Guardian. Fae Alanna is sent on a mission to force Shifter sword maker Niall O'Connell to make a sword to defeat all Shifters. But Alanna has other ideas.

This was a quick prequel to the Shifters Unbound series, Niall is a blacksmith but he is also a Shifter, Alanna comes to him to request he make a sword for her brother, who is a Fae prince. Her brother thinks the sword will be used to bring back the Shifters that killed his family members so he can get his revenge. Little does he know that Alanna has her own plans for the sword. Working together they make a sword that helps Shifters instead of harming them while falling in love. It was a good quick story to help to explain how and why Sean uses his sword as the Guardian.
