Fifty Shades of Darker - E. L. James

Daunted by the singular sexual tastes and dark secrets of the beautiful, tormented young entrepreneur Christian Grey, Anastasia Steele has broken off their relationship to start a new career with a Seattle publishing house. But desire for Christian still dominates her every waking thought, and when he proposes a new arrangement, Anastasia cannot resist. They rekindle their searing sensual affair, and Anastasia learns more about the harrowing past of her damaged, driven and demanding Fifty Shades. While Christian wrestles with his inner demons, Anastasia must confront the anger and envy of the women who came before her, and make the most important decision of her life.

The book begins with the couple apart and broken. With her best friend on vacation and her heart in pieces, Ana is alone. She feels she can’t be the women Christian needs even though she can’t stop thinking about him and how much she wants him. It doesn’t take long for Christian to admit he wants Anastasia and he misses her deeply. Their relationship grows and they both have to learn how to find a loving balance. The story remains romantic, witty, playful and a thrill ride with new characters and wild turns. I really enjoyed Ana’s inner goddess and all the flirty e-mails.
I cried when Christian lets down his walls and lets Ana touch him. You can feel his pain as he struggles to let her in and tries to find real love the “Vanilla” way. I feel his character is softer and sweeter in this book.
As for Mrs. Robinson..... Don’t worry, she gets a good slap and is exposed for what she is.
This books ends with real hearts and flowers.
