The Werewolf Upstairs - Ashlyn Chase

Petty crime never looked so good... Alpha werewolf Konrad Wolfensen sees it as his duty to protect the citizens of Boston, even if it means breaking into their businesses just to prove their security systems don't work. But when his unsolicited services land him in trouble with the law, he'll have to turn to his sexy new neighbor for help. She should know better... Attorney Roz Wells is bored. She used to have such a knack for attracting the weird and unexpected, but ever since she took a job as a Boston public defender, the quirky quotient in her life has taken a serious hit. Until her sexy werewolf neighbor starts coming around...

This starts off with Roz moving into her best friend's apartment building. She meets Konrad and then he is arrested for breaking and entering. Roz is his attorney and gets the case thrown out because there is no way a human can lift a 1000 pound freezer. Roz and Konrad get together and he learns that Roz is his mate. Roz knows Jason is a shapeshifter but she has no idea that Konrad is a werewolf and she doesn't know about all the other paranormal neighbors either. I enjoy the side characters to this book. It makes the book fun to read and laugh at them lol. Konrad and Roz decide to find different careers. But Morgaine is a witch and she is trying to solve an old crime at the museum and she asks Konrad to help her. The ghost Reginald does not like Konrad for some reason and he plants evidence against Konrad for the museum crime. Will Roz be able to prove him innocent? Also will she accept Konrad when she learns about his secret?

My rating a 3

  1. I loved this book. My favorite from this series. Can't wait for Konrad's brothers book to come out. Great review. Great author.

  2. I just said the first one sounded like it would be enjoyable, but this one just sounds like a riot of fun.
