We are months away from the end date.. in dec 2012 and now that the Winikin have decided they don't want to service anymore but become a part of the fight. The Night Keepers and the Winikin have been at odds. Cara was named as the new leader of the Winikin after the first leader left to care for the only set of twins for the night keepers. Cara has always hated being a Winikin when her father forced it on her at a young age. Years ago the king of the night keepers went against what the gods said and caused the death of most of their people. Only survivors were the kids that the Winikins escaped with and went into hiding, some Winikins told the children since day one they were night keepers and prepared them for it. That is what Cara's father did for Sven, he was a part of the family but not really so when he and Cara start to have feelings for each other Carlos puts a stop to it by sending Sven off, and he's been running ever since. But when he sees Cara again those feelings come back. But the fun loving Sven is gone, in his place is a coyote Merge with a familiar, he can talk to his coyote Mac and feel what he feels and he has to fight the feeling of always wanting to run and be free when his other half wants to be with Cara.
