Hi everyone and thanks for inviting me to talk about my Zodius Series. I came up with the series many years ago when I use to go to Vegas a couple times a year and not only loved the experience there but the idea of Area 51. I had an editor at a big publishing house read a romantic suspense and she wanted to know why I wasn’t writing paranormal because I had a voice for it. I’d actually already been pondering an idea so that was the push I needed.
I love alpha
shifters like Lora Leigh but it was so done. So many people had shifters. So I
wanted to be fresh and I kept thinking about Area 51. My ex was Army and his
entire family was Special Forces. I’m a
big fan of Resident Evil so I started
thinking what about a genetic experiment on Special Forces soldiers? And bingo.
There came the idea.
I originally
wrote the series as my Underground Guardians Series and left it behind to write
for Nocturne and Blaze and do Various New York anthologies. The characters
still stuck with me though so years later I went back to it and realized I’d
grown as an author and there was more I wanted to do with the series so I gave
it a rebirth as my Zodius Series. I’d written the Guardians way back in 2002 or
2003. So my Guardians inspired my Zodius series but its not at all a connected
series.
I’m excited to
be going to Barnes and Noble for a signing on the 26th of this
month. So come see me in Vegas!
You can find
the details here:
And I have a
huge blog party going on through the 15th so there is still time to

I really enjoy this series, and am looking forward to reading Damion. It reminded me of a sort of FBI type romantic suspense with a paranormal twist. I like the smart feisty ladies, too. This combination definitely works!
ReplyDeleteI loved The Storm That Is Sterling and can't wait to read the rest of the series!
