Yea we've hardly seen much human interaction except for the I.S in the other books. So the hate group HAPA wants to put an end to all inderlanders. But they need Rachel's demon blood to do it. They have been trying to destroy them but making monsters out of witches. That didn't work and they died painfully. Finally catching Rachel after she decided not to use her demon power, aided by Trent with a bracelet to block it, the HAPA used Rachel's blood to make monsters. I don't really understand why they were turning the witches into to monsters to destroy them. Because the one they did with Rachel's blood was a monster looking but still healthy. There was also a new human secret army that was working undercover for I.S which is also human. But was working better then the FIB which are inderlanders and they mean business. So I'm thinking the next book will clear more of the secrets up for me, no love interest for Rachel in this book. She kept finding all the men around her sexy like her new Were body guard and of course Trent but she would talk herself out of looking too hard at them.
