This series has a bit of a twist to it. Unlike almost all other HEA series, these warriors kill their SHEVA's or destined mates because to bond with them would make them destroy each other and maybe the world the Order is protecting . The Calydons started with two brothers who needed to be stronger than their evil father, who was destroying the world. They found a water source that gave them powers to defeat their father but sadly one of the brothers was too late to save his true love that the father kidnapped. This caused him to loose his mind and become rogue from the pain. The other brother unable to put his brother down tried to lock him away before the now evil brother kidnapped his wife. The still good brother was able to defeat his now evil brother and locked him away, but found out to late that his wife was lost. In turn he lost his mind over the grief and his team of warriors put him down. So from that day on if any Calydon found his mate she was killed. Quinn has had feelings that this was wrong since he had to put down his own uncle who had fallen rogue after finding his mate. At the last moment before death he saw his uncle come back and for years had been trying to find a way to save bonded mates before it was too late. Grace and her sister, Ana only have each other left in the world. After someone kidnaps Ana,  Grace is force to seek out one of the most ruthless warriors of the Calydons, Quinn, to help her save her sister or die trying. Little does she know her mate is near and under the bonding spell.
