I saw this book cover and an except on another blog and was like, WOW, that sounds like a very interesting story and I was right. What a great book, from beginning to end, I really enjoyed it. From the first paragraph with Roland and his displeasure for a dirty, unconscious woman being placed on his clean white sheets I knew I was hooked. Roland is a Paladin warrior that was put on earth to protect humans and to fight demons and vampires but 94 years ago he was changed into what he hates most, a vampire. His best friend and fellow warrior, Logan, was ordered to kill him but he couldn't do it. Logan is the one that delivered the woman to Roland for protection until he could discover who she really was and why she showed up on his doorstep. Once Karissa woke up she was terrified of Roland, she was taught her whole life that all vampires are evil. With special powers of her own she keeps Roland on his toes while they both wait for Logan to return. They soon discover that Karissa is the last Paladin woman and that all the remaining warriors will be after her to mate with her. Roland and Karissa have a strong pull towards each other but both fight it due to different reasons. When Logan takes Karissa to Have, the headquarters that houses the council and some of the warriors, Roland shows up and tries to talk her into leaving. On her own she frees herself from the warriors but ends up in Roland's arms only to be kidnapped by vampires.
If you like sexy warriors, demons, and vampires you will enjoy this book. I look forward to reading book two so I can find out what is going on with Gabby and Valin, hopefully they will pop up in the next book.
