LT's Review: Ever since his new brother-in-law released the block in his memories, it open doors to other powers he didn't know he had. Besides just recently learning he and his sister were vampires, he learned he was an impure. This means he was thought of as a second class citizen. When he learned how HIS people were being treated, he knew he had to do something. Unfortunately, while doing so he was pulling away from the family that wanted to help him. They were Purebreeds and didn't truly understand the hardships that were going on with the Impures. Dillon has be hiding her true self from her friends and family, never wanting to get too close to anyone emotionally . When she turns down her human senators advancements, he beats her within a an inch of her life and reveals her secret. She's a Muture, which is a purebreed vampire that can change into an animal, and when she changed, she got stuck in her animal form. These Balas (babies) are usually killed at birth. But we learned from Luca's book there was a family of them being raised as weapons, and Dillon was one of of them before she ran away. Unknown to her Muture brothers, Dillon was raped and from that point on she locked away all her emotions. After she met Gray, and had feelings she had never felt before she ran from him. He chased her and was always denied. So when Gray finally starts to believe they are not meant to be together, her mark appears on his hand, branding him as her Truemate.
Will being Dillon's truemate help her to learn to love and be loved? Will the Impures ever have equality ?

Wendy's Review: I love this series, it has all the things I love but not on the normal vampire blood-sucking ways, which to me just makes it even better. Yes the vampires drink blood but they drink from each other. There are two different breeds, the Purebloods, who are full vampires and the Impures, who are half human and half vampire. Gray is an Impure, he is the brother of Sara, who is married the Alex Roman, a Pureblood male, son of the Breeding male. Now that Gray is healed from his past traumas that put him in a mental hospital for years, he discovers he is an Impure and has made it his goal to get fair treatment for all Impures and to stop the Order (the council that controls all vampires). While trying to reach his goals he is also struggling with his feelings for Dillon. They have been fighting the sexual and emotional pull towards each other for months. Gray knows one of Dillion's secrets but he wants to know everything, and she is so emotionally blocked off from him that when she comes to him needing his help, he uses it to his advantage.
This book was one of the best in the series to me, it was full of love and sex and finally understanding about what love really means when you finally open your heart to all of it.
