Blurb: Window Rock, Arizona, is the last known location of Honor Roberts, who vanished when she was just thirteen. It was her only sanctuary from the Breed research that would surely have ended in her death—one such insidious experiment should, indeed, have killed her. That she lived is both a miracle—and a great mystery.
Stygian’s mission is to find Honor Roberts, no matter the cost. Now, with the help of Liza Johnson, assistant to the chief of the Navajo Nation, he is closer than ever to his goal. But will the discovery of Honor Roberts mean the destruction of the mating heat that has developed between Stygian and Liza?

Review: We first met Stygian several books back when he was told by Cassie that he would need her help when he finally find his mate. Stygian knew that Liza was his mate the moment he spotted her in the local bar. From that night forward, he followed her and protected her without her realizing that he was even there. Liza knew she was attracted to him and she also knew a little about the mating heat, so she thought what they were starting was only a small fling. Stygian and the rest of the Breeds are in Willow Rock looking for Honor Roberts, who they all think holds the key to helping save the life of Amber, Jonas’s young daughter. No one from the Navajo Nation is telling the truth about Honor and the other three that escaped with her 12 years ago. Liza is having flashbacks and nightmares that she knows cannot possibly be from her own life. Through chaos and love, Stygian and Honor come together as a mated couple to find the truth of who and what she really is.

I love this series but this book did not do anything for me, I liked Stygian but I did not like Liza at all. She argued with everyone she talked to, I don’t think she had one normal conversation without arguing. She whined about herself and her fears without taking in the big picture with what was happening to others around her. Stygian growled a lot and gave into her whining. The storyline with Amber needs to wrap up. In my opinion this book was drawn out but could have easily been a novella if 95% of Liza’s whining was taken out.
