Blurb: Betrayal is all he's ever known, but in her, he'll find a love strong enough to be trusted...
When Marcella Raines' twin brother dies, she honors his request to be buried at sea, never expecting the violent storm that swamps her boat. Though she's gravely injured--and still emotionally damaged from her recent divorce--Ella fights to survive.
Zephyros Martius is the Supreme God of the West Wind and Spring, but being the strongest Anemoi hasn't protected him from betrayal and loss. Worse, he's sure his brother Eurus is behind it. When Zeph's heartbreak whips up a storm that shipwrecks a human, his guilt forces him to save her.
Ella is drawn to the vulnerability Zeph hides beneath his otherworldly masculinity and ancient blue eyes. And her honesty, empathy, and unique, calming influence leave Zeph wanting...everything. When Eurus threatens Ella, she and Zeph struggle to let go of the past, defend their future, and embrace what they most want--a love that can be trusted.

Shonna's review
Now alone in the world, Ella decides to release her brother’s ashes into the sea while aboard the boat they shared, the True Blue. Despite her years of experience, the unexpected storm rages around the boat and plunges her into the icy waters. Fighting for every breath, Ella’s downward spiral in life has left her with a heavy heart of pain and betrayal. Yet with a strong determination she refuses to not give in, but to go forward and not let sorrow drag her down like an iron anchor.
Zephyros, God of the West Wind, responsible for the life slipping away in the waters below, plucks Ella from the edge of death, and stands by his mistake to right his wrong. Full of power, he finds it hard to control his feelings when he is betrayed and hurting and often allows himself the release of the wind to deal with his broken heart. Trust is something he has given with his soul to many times, only to be crushed and in the end, alone. Yet after he sees to Ella’s safe return, Zeph is drawn to her side despite his better judgment.
The Hearts of the Anemoi’s second installment, WEST OF WANT, is not what I expected, no,...it was more. This fantasy romance is full of everything you want in a good read, plus the unexpected twists of events at the end will have you unable to set it down. I feared it would follow the same outline as NORTH OF NEED. Not at all, the story was unique in its own plot and is wrapped-up with the talent we all know Laura Kaye has shown us time and time again.
