BLURB: In a world we think we know, live other races entirely hidden from the mortal perspective.  Creatures of legend, of fable and myth, their very history and nature have allowed them to walk side by side with humans since time immemorial.  They are warriors, they are hunters, and they are Algula.  Vampire.  And in their own midst, a battle is brewing for supremacy, for dominance, that can and will affect all around them.  Old hatred never dies and vengeance is a fiery sword that cuts a bloody swath.

WENDY'S Review: Ok, let me start by saying this, if you read the Category above and you see that the main characters are brother and sister, don't freak out, they do not do anything sexual. This story is about true sibling relationships, the fighting, the honest love between siblings and also the heartbreak when pain happens to one or the other.
Zayn and Nikole are the King and Princess of the vampire race known as Algula, they live with humans and have for centuries. Their parents were the King and Queen before them, until the Queen's brother killed them both. During this dark time, Haydar, the sadist brother to the Queen killed thousands, which made the remaining Algulians flee to the New World. Now the King and his sister are living in Colorado hiding from their uncle.  The story unfolds with Nikole wanting to join her brother's army but he says no, things then spiral out of control with their lives. Nikole is kidnapped and taken by a new man in her life. Zayn will do anything to get his sister back safe and secure but what he does during the time she is missing has Nikole questioning his loyalty to her.
This book has many more interesting characters that help the brother and sister enjoy love in their lives.  This is the first in the series and it leaves you hanging wanting more.  Blood Yellow is book two in the series.
