LT'S REVIEW: First of all this was one of the most different styles of writing, I have ever read. But not in a bad way. It is written like someone reading their story from their diaries and some live events but mostly as the Brides of Dracula write their day to day life events. Starting with the first wife Valeria married Vlad while he was still human and soon learned later that he was different after he came back from the war. It was based in the 1400’s, a very historical period of time. Dracula seemed very loving to his wife until the Turks where invading and he allowed himself to be taken to safety leaving Valeria behind. So distraught about being left and not wanting to fall in the hands of the enemy she throws herself from the top of the castle into the lake below, only to wake as the same creature her husband is.  Vlad takes a second wife soon after he is released from being a prisoner of war and marries the king’s cousin in good faith of peace. Ilona didn’t want to be married but she knew she couldn’t speak against her new husband or king so she tried to find happiness in becoming a mother. Sadly after 2 miscarriages, the last one killing her, she awoke as the same creature her husband was and learned that his first wife was still alive and wanted to kill her. Somehow they made the threesome work for hundreds of years. Until Vlad killed his whore Fleur after she tasted his blood accidentally changing her into yet another bride. The other wives refused to accept her and made their own relationship with each other.  But the draw to Vlad was too strong and after years of fighting his appeal they each fall back under his power.
I found it very hard to like Vlad in this book. He was very selfish and kept stringing them all along, Coming and going as he pleased. But when he was with each of them he made them feel like they were the one.
