Shonna's Review: As the meteorite fell from the sky, Ben watched helplessly as his parents were crushed by the ball of fire. At the age of nine, his life was changed forever with a new path he now must follow without his family. Troubled and isolated, he exists but truly doesn’t understand how to live life with a purpose and meaning. As time goes by the emptiness he harbors becomes feelings of unworthiness that he carries as added baggage while he travels as a photographer by trade.

Adopted by loving people that don’t themselves know the truth of of her beginning, Laura grows up with a life full of good memories and secrets of her special abilities. Then the pain of a string of tragedies begin trailing her life. Her nightmares become reality, and with it, the killer that is coming for her and won’t stop till he finds her.

From a distance his green eyes watch over them. Knowing what is ahead in both their lives, the man in black waits for the moment he knows is coming for Ben and Laura. Seeing what awaits in the future, Felix also knows the true past. A new beginning hangs by a string and could change any minute, in any direction. Applauds to Donna Galanti on her debut novel. She does an amazing job bringing depth to not only her main characters, but secondary characters. A few twists that I did not see coming kept me very intrigued as these contrasting lives weave together with one another for a thrilling edge of your seat, nail biting ending.
