WENDY’S REVIEW:  Ever had a book or series stick with you after you finished the book? Well, again this is one of the stories for me. While I am sitting at work I think about the characters and what happened in the latest book, maybe it has something to do with the fact that I can almost relate with the female lead, Angel.
In book one, Sanguinary, Angel meets Ash, the lead singer of a local band who also happens to be a vampire. The vampires in this series are not the mouth full of fangs, suck your neck kind of vampires. They are closer to humans who need the blood of other humans to survive. Angel, is a young woman, who works but barely makes ends meet but that doesn't keep her from the pubs and drinking (lol this is were I related with Angel). From the moment Angel and Ash met they were drawn to each other but their relationship was full of turmoil, from her friends and family or a killers stalking them & his vampire family. Book 2 picks up four months after book1 ends, Angel is still heartbroken but getting on with her life by working in a book store and has even written and published a book about vampires.  Tragedy throws Angel back into Ash's life where she discovers that he has been just as miserable without her as she has been without him. Not everyone is happy that Angel is back in Ash's life and they learn this the hard way through blood and violence from a crazy man who is obsessed with killing all the vampires.
There are a few big surprises throughout this book that lead you to book 3 and the continuing life of Ash and Angel.  If you like reading books by Indie authors, give this series a chance, I think you all will like them both.
My Rating: 4.5
My Review for Sanguinary
