BAYOU HEAT TOUR

LEGEND OF THE PANTERA
Hidden in the depths of the Louisiana bayous, the Pantera, have become little more than a legend to most humans. It’s rumored that in the ancient past twin sisters, born of magic, had created a sacred land and claimed it as their own. From that land was born creatures who were neither human or animal, but a mixture of the two. Faster and stronger than humans, they have hyper acute senses, and when surrounded by the magic of the Wildlands they’re capable of shifting into pumas. It was also whispered that they possess other gifts. Telepathy, witchcraft, immortality, and the ability to produce a musk that could enthrall mere mortals. Mothers warned young girls never to roam alone near the swamps, convinced that they would be snatched by the Pantera, while young men were trained to avoid hunting anywhere near the protected Wildlands. Not that the warnings were always successful. What girl didn’t dream of being seduced by a gorgeous, mysterious stranger? And what young man didn’t want to try his skill against the most lethal predators?
As the years passed, however, the sightings of the Pantera became so rare that the rumors faded to myths. Most believed the entire species had become extinct. Sadly they weren’t entirely mistaken...
Book #1    Raphael
The brilliant and dangerous diplomat of the Pantera shapeshifters, Raphael has devoted his life to discovering the key to the infertility that is threatening the extinction of his puma race. Creating a vast network of spies worldwide, he never expected to discover that the answer might be beneath his very nose. But when Ashe, a beautiful human female, crosses his path, his most primitive instincts are stirred.
Unable to resist, he takes her to his bed, and is shocked when she becomes pregnant with his child. It’s a miracle that might prove to be the salvation of his people, but only if he can keep her safe from the mercenaries determined to kill her.

Book#2   Parish - Untamed and undeniably sexy, Parish, leader of the Pantera hunters, rarely leaves the magic of the Wildlands to deal with the humans he despises. But with the prized and risky Pantera birth on the way, puma shifter, Parish must travel to New Orleans to find and bring back a human doctor. The moment he sees the lovely, talented and all too human Dr. Julia Cabot he cannot resist the wild, potent drive to make her his. Betrayed and destroyed by love, Julia will not let her heart choose her path again. But as she and Parish fight to save the life of an unborn child, a fierce and overwhelming bond develops between them, threatening her frozen heart with the secret hope and ultimate temptation of love and family.

WORKING AS A TEAM
by Alexandra Ivy & Laura Wright

It all started with a phone call.

How many times have you been talking with a friend and thrown out those words:

You know, we should...

99 % of the time they come to nothing.  They’re forgotten by the end of the conversation.  And truly it’s often for the best, I’ve had a lot of ideas that were best left rattling around in my brain.  But every once in a while, a scrap of conversation becomes a full-blown idea.  That’s what happened when Laura and I were chatting one morning.  We said the fateful words “You know, we should...” and suddenly we were plotting and scheming and Bayou Heat was born.

Being a writer usually means working in solitude, well, unless you count all those pesky voices in your head so collaborating with someone is a whole new ballgame.  There are a few things you should consider before trying a partnership.
First, a writer is in complete control of the world and characters that you’re creating, so it’s important for a writer to know whether they can accept sharing their very private creation.  I’m actually a control freak, so I wasn’t sure if Laura would be able to stand my freak-outs.  So far she hasn’t tried to kill me, but then again, we live a thousand miles apart.
There’s also need to weave together of two very separate voices.   A writer’s voice is the one distinct thing they find impossible to alter, so a partnership must mesh on a very fundamental level.
It wouldn’t work for everyone.
But for those who can, it’s a remarkable experience.  Being able to share ideas, cheer one another on, and to keep each other on task is so inspiring.  And in the end, there’s nothing more important to any writer.

WENDY’S REVIEW for Raphael: From two of my favorite authors comes a new series and let me tell you, these novellas are a fantastic start to the new series. We hit the ground running with Raphael, who is a Pantera Suit, searching for the human woman he had sex with several weeks back. A Suit is a fraction of the highly secretive Pantera shapeshifters that mix in society with humans to keep their secrets quiet. While he was back in the bayou he met and had sex with Ashe, a local woman who only went to the bar to pay off her mother's bar tab. The minute Ashe and Raphael spotted each other the magic began and pulled them together for a night of hot sex that left Ashe pregnant. Raphael has the ability with his magic to make humans forget so he used his magic on Ashe to make her forget their night together but once she found out she was pregnant, memories started to come back to her. Remembering their night together was not supposed to happen but more than that he should have never been able to impregnate a human. When they finally get back together magic happens again and their bond is formed. Can a puma shifter and a human make a life together and just how long is a woman pregnant with a half shifter baby? My Rating: 5
WENDY'S REVIEW for Parish: Oh yummy, a bad boy with long dark hair, light colored eyes and hell yeah a bad attitude to boot- just what I like. I could leave my review at that for Parish but I'm not going to. When Parish, who is the leader of the Hunter for the Pantera, spotted Doc Julia at the hospital he knew he had to have her. Could the man be any sexier, sniffing the air and growling Mine?? Umm...No. Parish follows Julia to the French Quarters to talk to her about coming with him to the Wildlands for a job but he never actually gives the job offer to her, he just grabs her and runs. Ashe needed a human female doctor so Parish brings her one, only to find his mate, a human mate and Parish hates humans. It didn't take long before that big cat changed his mind about humans and went for the cream. Seriously ladies, do you blame her for giving it to him?? Again, umm...NO. Yep that little dirty cat is my favorite, naughty little kitten. My Rating: 5

LT'S REVIEW for Raphael: Legend of the Pantera- They are a magically created Puma shifted race, that live hidden in the bayou of Louisiana in a place called WildLands.
Most people in the bayou have heard of the puma shifters, but so much time has passed since anyone actually saw one, they've became more of a myth.
The Pantera race started having problems conceiving and carrying their babies to term, so they figured it was the human race making them sick and they closed off the Wildlands to keep themselves safe. Sadly that wasn't the answer, and after 50 yrs no one has been able to conceive. But they are not just wild animals living in the wild, they have different Fractions such as the Suits, these are the pumas that deal with humans to get information. There are also Hunters that protect and hunt plus do the dirty work. Then there are the Nurturers, who sadly haven't had a job to do because they care for the cubs. Until Raphael runs into the sweetest smelling woman he has ever wanted to taste, Ashe. They have a steamy one night stand, then Raphael clouds her memory, so she doesn't remember what happened between them, because he can't even explain to himself why he has strong feelings for Ashe. Having sex with humans is no big deal up until he meet Ashe, then she ends up pregnant and homeless when her drunk of a mother puts her out. Now someone wants to kill her to kill the magic growing inside her.
LT's REVIEW for Parish: Parish is a Pantera Hunter and he hates humans after one killed his twin sister. So when he's given the mission to find a doctor who specializes in difficult pregnancies he takes it literally. He sees her, he smells her, he wants her, so he just takes her. Dr. Julia Cabot's life is a mess and it all just fell apart about a week ago. First she walks in and finds her live in boyfriend (who's also a doctor) having sex with one of her nurses. Then he turns the tables on her, puts her out and tells her to find a job somewhere else. Heartbroken she prepares do just that, but with no where to go she finds herself living in a hotel wondering what she is going to do next. That is when she is kidnapped and taken to a magical place where people can shift into pumas. She learns she is needed to help bring the first Pantera baby in 50 years into the world. Now she has to decide if she wants to stay or go back to her old life. Parish has other plans for her and wants to make her his mate, if only he can prove his feelings and get her passed all the hurt. My Rating: 5

Shonna's Review: The names of the two authors, Alexandra Ivy and Laura Wright, are enough to ensure a 100% guarantee that before you even start on the first chapter of BAYOU HEAT, you are holding an awesome book in your hands. Without a doubt, you will get nothing done around the house (or at work if you can get away with it) until you finish the last page. This double delicious novella, Book One – RAPHAEL, and Book Two – PARISH, will have you addicted to this series with its fantastic Cajun spice that flares with sexy hot characters and a yummy new species that will definitely make your mouth water. Unbelievable Wildlands world building takes you into a whole new realm that you will want to visit again and again with future installments yet to come. This fresh and exciting plot will coil around you like a snake from this swampland of the South and squeeze the breath out of you with it’s ending cliff hanger as to where this amazing read will take you next April. Personally,..... I can not wait!!!! My Rating: 5
