WENDY’S REVIEW: Vasilije, is a very powerful vampire, who lives in London but must travel to New Orleans to find out who killed one of his vampires. He is the sire to Teagan, the vampire who was staked and killed in New Orleans. Teagan was one of the many vampires that Vasilije had sired over his long life, but Teagan was one of his favorites. Vasilije thinks he knows who killed or had Teagan killed, but now he will have to prove it and he gets some unlikely help from a little human female. Sasa, an empath, tries to help Vasilije find who killed Teagan but she has secrets of her own and they almost get her killed in the end. Sasa works with Vasilije but the entire time she is also working against him with his enemy. She has her reasons for working both sides with the main reason being her only living family, her mother. Working both sides does not keep her from falling into bed with him or even from letting him feed from her. Vasilije has always said that he would never settle for just one woman in his life but things change when he falls for Sasa. Past and present enemies are doing their best to destroy Vasilije but with Sasa's help and love, Vasilije comes out victorious this time. But how long will their happiness last when so many more enemies are out there?
