Donna Grant is here today talking about The Royal Chronicles series.

1. Tell us about your amazing series, ROYAL CHRONICLES.
The Royal Chronicles are about a secret kingdom and the four brothers who must fulfill an ancient curse. In a kingdom deep in the frozen mountains of the Scottish Highlands, a royal family has been cursed by the Fae and must fulfill the curse each generation or the kingdom and all its inhabitants will cease to exist. Four brothers will leave the safety of the ancient territory to find their soul mates and return with them to the kingdom before time runs out, or the evil - and hard to track - Tnarg's find them first.

2. Can you share something about Lucian, from PRINCE OF DESIRE, that isn’t in the book
When I first started writing the novella, he was going to be the heir and only prince, but then three other brothers popped up, and suddenly he was second oldest.

3. You have so many wonderful books to your credit. Where do you get your inspiration and how do you keep your ideas fresh?
Thank you, but I honestly have no idea. I go where the characters lead me. ;)

4. Out of all the character you have created, name three that you would bring to life, if you could.
Phelan from the Dark Warriors series
Hayden from the Dark Sword series
Rhys from the Dark Kings series

5. We have heard you don’t write on the weekend. What do you do when on a Saturday afternoon, a creative brainstorm enters your mind that you don’t want to slip away?
lol. No, I try to keep the weekends for my family. But when inspiration does strike, I either jot down notes, go a brainstorming session with hubby (and kids because they love to be involved), and keep going over all of it in my head until I can flesh it out longer. I've kept ideas in my mind for over a year before I've been able to sit and write their stories.

6. List three books that are on your TBR list and tell us what your all time favorite book is
JR Ward's Lover Mine
Lorraine Heath's She Tempts the Duke
Kresley Cole's Lothaire

7. Out of all your books, tell us two scenes that will always standout as your favorite.
Hmm...there's the scene in UNTAMED HIGHLANDER between Hayden and Isla in the tower while both are fighting the attraction and he leans in to kiss her only to stop. Then she punches the stone and breaks her hand.
There's a scene in Phelan's book (MIDNIGHT'S TEMPTATION) where he and his heroine are on the Isle of Skye and they fall in love. (can't go into details since the book isn't out yet! :))

8. Which genre, allows your fingers to type with super speed because it is the easiest to write for you?
I used to say historical, but the contemporary genre has become easier with each book I write. So, its difficult to say.

9. Do you have any book that you wish you could go back and change the ending or give it a different twist?
Oh, I'm sure if I evaluated each book I could find something I'd like to change, but I followed the characters, and they told me their stories. I just wrote them down. :)

10. Which character do you enjoy writing about most in your books, the good or evil ones, and why?
Oh, that's hard to say. There are times I like to write the villains to see just how far they're going to go. The new villain coming in the last four Dark Warriors books does some really despicable things. However, the villain in the Dark Kings series is a no-holds-bar kinda villain. That villain is going to be downright nasty their attack on the Dragon Kings.
