Book description: Valerie Moyer doesn’t believe in vampires—until she is kidnapped by a fanged psychopath! After escaping her bloodthirsty captor, she’s through with creatures of the night. Until she finds herself under the protection of the darkly handsome Anders. Not only is she expected to accept that Anders is immortal, but also that she is the woman destined to be his life mate!

Shonna's review:   For veterinarian, Valerie Moyer, successfully finding a way to escape the cages of a rogue vampire that had kidnapped her was the ending of her life as she knew it. With a kind heart, she can still be strong and in the face of fear, even though she was scared, give it a smack in the head when needed with a mallet. With a whole new world (and existence) that is slowly revealed to her with time and trust, a new beginning with a chance for a new love is hers to have, if she chooses. But accepting the unbelievable isn’t always easy, especially if you are human.
Known simply as Anders, not many know of his Russian/Basque origin. An Enforcer for immortals, he portrays the tall, dark, and sexy type that keeps to himself as a man of few words. Born in 1357, Anders has spent centuries alone, not allowing many close, with a deep and dark past that he keeps hidden away. Yet all that changed in the blink of an eye when he answered the call to go after a rogue and discovered one of the victim’s minds was unreadable to only him.

This 18th installment is by all means another fantastic story for us in the Argeneau Series. Lyndsay Sands never fails her fans with humor, action, drama, sex, and a bouquet of emotions filling the chapters with a non-stop read that you will absolutely love. As one of my all time favorite series, I am always awed at the crisp new angles each story brings with the rising number of installments. Never bored with repetition, this authors talents never stalls. For newcomers to the Argeneau Series, yes, you can read IMMORTAL EVER AFTER as a stand alone, but please don’t. You will miss out on so much enjoyable reading if you don’t start with book one, A QUICK BITE. It is well worth the time to start at the beginning because you can not help but quickly read your way through, loving the entire journey and the characters that you experience these adventures with.
