Shonna's Review: Petra, also known as Dr.
Robichaud, part human, part fairy, is drafted to a M*A*S*H unit into an unknown
realm called limbo for a war between the new and old gods. With the future of
earth hanging in the balance, hiding her ability to see the dead, is only the
beginning of a long list of problems she deals with on a daily basis. Hoping to
relax a little with the temporary cease-fire, Petra could not have been more
wrong with the series of events she faces in her new life.
Marc, a dragon shifter,
drafted and then (everyone thought) killed ten years ago, returns into
Petra’s life needing help on the enemy side. All these years she has suffered
with the pain from thinking this man she loved with all her heart was dead.
Only recently letting go when she found Galen, Petra had taked a step
forward to go on with her life. Now her past
is present, MARC, and
the new present she wanted seems to have no future, GALEN.
This MASH trilogy got me
hooked within pages of picking up book one, IMMORTALLY YOURS. I love the
unique world Angie Fox has created for these fantastic characters that bring
out such a variety of personalities. You can not help but fall in love with
their little quirks that bring them to life as you read. Full of humor, tears,
action, suspense, and oh yes,... hot sex, you truly need to read the fist
installment before venturing on to number two, IMMORTALLY EMBRACED.
The events and twists in
store with this second read took a completely different road than I expected. I
was shocked and very torn as to how the events unfolded throughout the book.
Not that I didn’t enjoy it, on the contrary, it is a fantastic story, it’s just
that it has me pulled in a hundred different directions. Right now I wish I
could bribe Ms. Fox for answers as to what will happen with this story to come.
I SO want to know, yet I fear the end and what will be revealed for some of
these characters that I have come to love.
