1. How long have you
been writing?
I have been writing since I learned. It probably didn't help that
I won the Young Author's contest in first grade, or some poetry contests in
high school. I didn't get serious about it until I had my third child. Then I
just started writing and actually finishing a whole story.
2. What has been the hardest character you ever had to write?
Jess, definitely Jess. More so for this next book than In Too
Deep. I think it's because the focus is on her and Slater. It's a pain to
figure out the balance between too much vision and not enough.
3. Do you have
internal conversations with your characters? Is there one's voice that is a
constant? No, I just eavesdrop on them. I know I should probably have
started with Jess' story, but Fallon was just the one who demanded my attention
first. Then again, if you've read it, that should make total sense.
4. What was the
hardest part to write in, In Too Deep?
Without giving too much away, probably when Robert and Fallon tell
Brody what happened in the past.
5. We know you listen to
music as you write, you have an awesome Playlist for In Too Deep- Do you search
out music first to give you inspiration for writing certain scenes?
No, my playlist is huge. I add to it randomly, and subtract, but
all the songs on the list were played a lot during writing. I sort of picked
the songs for the public playlist that fit the story the best or the ones I
couldn't stop playing while writing.
6. Now that Fallon &
Brody are together, will we hear more from them in the next few books? Will
they both be in Jess & Slatter's book? (Pre- couple, maybe early Fallon
relationships?)
Fallon only shows up in the first couple chapters. You get to see
Jess and Fallon's dynamic before Jess moves to Edenton. You see a lot of Brody,
even find out how he becomes second in the first place.
7. Will Fallon ever want
kids?
Brody is a game changer for Fallon.
He's perfect for her really, so yeah. Kids are definitely a possibility in the
future
8. Will Jamie have her
own book? Have we met her HEA yet?
Yes, Jamie will have her own book. No
you haven't met her HEA. I can’t wait to write that one out but that is all I
can say on that. I’m not positive where her book falls, definitely not until 4
or 5. I just don’t know if her story comes before or after Robert’s
9. How does Fallon work
her magic in to the tattoos? Through a spell with the ink?
She works the spells as she tattoos the individual. It’s not a spoken spell. I guess the best way to describe it as her energy channeled into the design.

10. How many books do
you have planned for this series and are you a planner or plotter?
Right now? At least seven. I wrote Fallon and Brody’s story and it
just sort of flowed. As I went deeper, I figured out Jess’ story. I have the
next two half written but I was sort of bouncing between the two of them before
starting Jess’ while editing In Too Deep. I know, way out of order, especially
since I might have to slide a book in between the next two after Jess and
Slater’s.
I’m not so much a planner as a pantser. I keep track of the ideas
as the pop up, so I sort of started outlining those other stories. I know which
couples are going to wind up together. I’m not totally positive on when on some
of them
In chronological order it’s definitely New Beginnings which is
Jess and Slater’s story. Then In Too Deep which is Fallon and Brody. Then
Hayden and Amethyst’s story, though you haven’t seen too much of her yet, and
you won’t until Shadows Past. After that, it just sort of depends on where my
characters take me.
My name is Brandy L
Rivers. I’m a wife and mother of three with an overactive imagination. I’ve
been obsessed with monsters and magic for pretty much ever. So I decided
to write the stories that keep me awake at night.
I started writing at a
very young age. It probably didn’t help that I won the young author award in
first grade, it might have started it all.
If you haven’t figured it out, I love to read. Those
choose your own adventures were an early favorite. Then I moved on to Stephen
King at 10. Hey, my grandmother who I love dearly got me started on horror
movies at 5. Then by 12 I was reading Anne Rice. I read just about anything,
but I love my monsters and magic.
Some of my favorite authors are Lauren Dane,
JR Ward, Gena Showalter, Laurel K Hamilton, and so many more.
No tattoos fear of needles.

My third one is just 1 year old...The name of my first Grandchild( Emma-Mailin)
Now i´m 43 and will have my 4th tattoo on August the 30 this year.
I don't have any tattoos. I don't think they are right for me. I love going with my friends to watch them get their tattoos, though. I believe that some folks can wear tattoos and some folks cannot. They are permanent and one should never get one due to peer pressure or to follow a trend. My niece has several; she designs them herself and each has a precise placement and a very important meaning for her. This, to me, is how tattoos should be - a symbol of something relevant. I loved the post; thanks for the giveaway. michelle_willms@yahoo.com
