Shonna's review:  To be honest, I just knew I wasn’t going to like this book since I am really a paranormal reader at heart. As I finished the last of this new series, my view had completely changed.

This astonishing read shackles you (in a good way) into the story of these characters. As this heart breaking tale filled with pain, torture and wrongs that need to be vindicated is told by the author, she also twists in a balanced amount of optimism, endurance, desire, and love. I wish I could come up with a better way to express the phrase “this is very well written” to explain what a great job Lea Griffith has accomplished.

Bullet/Remi/Gretchen is an elite assassin for The Collective. Her character has been through so much, yet the feelings she discovers and the way the author is able to translate how she evolves onto the pages of the book are phenomenal. This strong woman has been through so much pain and torture there is only the tiniest glimmer of even being human left, until she sees hope through the eyes of a stranger that is to be her target.

Rand Beckett only wants revenge since the life of his daughter and wife were ordered to be taken by the leader, Joseph Bombardier of The Collective. He now has only hatred for Bullet, the one that he is sure squeezed the trigger that horrific day. Only managing to exist in a shell of emptiness  to fulfill this revenge, he also refuses to surrender the fact that his heart does feel something for the woman with the beautiful red hair.

I am so excited to learn more about this story and the very intriguing sub characters that will step forward for future installments. There is so much unfinished business and  unanswered questions that I am dying to read about in coming novels. Next in the No Mercy Series, is ARROW TO THE HEART, planned for February 2014. I highly recommend that you jump on the wagon with this series and start with BULLET TO THE HEART now so when February rolls around you will be more than ready for book 2. If you don’t, (shaking my head at you) you will really be missing out on an awesome read.
