Manhattan is in for a surprise. She thought she was just an ordinary aerobics

Awakening.
One of my favorite all-time scenes in the Wicked Series occurs in Book I, A Wicked Awakening. Cam and Chérie have had a rough go of things. She decides to go to the rock climbing gym with him.
I’ve spent many an hour in a climbing gym. I can just see the scene, smell the smells, wonder how the onlookers will respond. Want to see for yourself?
SCENE FROM A WICKED AWAKENING:
I
lunge at Cam.
Caught
off-guard, he stumbles backwards and falls on the mat covered floor.
I
leap on top of him, pushing him to the floor and pinning him to the ground.
Cam
seems taken aback by my strength. I’ve immobilized his arms, leaning into him,
pressing his palms with mine.
“Whoa,
Chér, calm down!”
I
lower my head until my mouth is right next to his ear. “I’m not going to calm
down until you apologize for the wafer comment,” I say, viciously.
People
glance over at us, uneasy. One of them says, “Hey, Tyson’s been spanked by a
chick – a chick – his own chick.” A
couple of onlookers snicker.
“You owe me an apology. I own you.”
“You what?” he says with a
splutter. He bursts out laughing.
“Well, I did…and then you paid me
back, and I let you go. But you wanted to stay, so you did. And we lived that
way for years.” Where is all this coming from? I’m speaking the words, yet
outside myself, looking on in bewilderment.
“What the hell are you talking
about? Have you lost your mind?”
“Apologize!” I grab his earlobe
between my teeth and bite it.
“Ow! What the fuck is wrong with
you? You want to play hard ball? Okay, let’s play.” He gives me a vicious
scowl.
Cam flexes his powerful arms, which
I had secured to the floor above his head. I have all these newly found powers,
but Cam’s incredibly strong. With effort and strain, he laces his fingers with
mine and struggles to push my arms up. His blue-eyed gaze drills into mine as
he does this.
Now we’re poised on the gym mats,
with me still on top of him, straddling his hips, his arms extended and holding
me aloft, our hands fastened together. There’s a tense pause as we each
consider our next move. Cam made the next play. With all the focus and strength
of his years as a rock climber, Cam jacks his body and flips me on my back.
Seizing my arms, he deftly traps me with the weight of his physique.
The scales have certainly tipped in
Cam’s favor. His bulk presses in on me, thoroughly restraining me. I feel the
muscles in Cam’s hips and legs, held taut as he pins me against the mat, I am
completely aware of the blond hair – yes, the hair that I love to trace with my
fingers – covering his well-developed arms. My breath comes hard and fast.
Something’s stirring below. Uh, oh, now
I’ve done it. Here in the gym, in front of all these
onlookers, Cam’s fully aroused.
