What do you do when one of your best buddies from your military past calls and asks you to keep an eye on his sister?  Well, you jump at the chance if you are Steve Redstone and you end up with the mate you've wanted forever but never thought you would find. 
Steve thought he would do a quick job of watching the ladies at the Vegas party and report back with no problems to his buddy but that is not what happens. While at the club dancing and drinking Trisha and her friends are given drinks laced with a date rape drug and are almost kidnapped. With help from friends from the Redstone Clan, Steve is able to get all the women to safety and soon realizes that Trisha is his mate plus so much more. While returning to the clan house, Trisha and Steve are ambushed and Trisha is hurt but Steve saves her and she admits that she is different, she is a water sprite. Steve comes clean with her, he tells her he is a shifter and is part of the Redstone clan that can shift into a mountain lion. The attraction between the two is palpable and they don't hold back with what they both need from each other. Now explaining to his best friend and her brother is a totally different story.
