This book took me a little longer to get into, it was a great story but not as fast paced as the first book. I liked Garrett right from the beginning even though he was "anti-human" relationship wise- lol. Being a vampire for a long time has made Garrett a little jaded towards human women. Being in love with Roman for over two hundred years hasn't helped his love life either. When Nial request that Garrett get to know Kate a little better he never knew he would run into his past love and never expected him to be dating Kate. Roman, now going by Adrian, is also after something from Kate and Garrett thinks it is the Blood Stone. The Blood Stone is a stone that has the capability of turning a vampire back into a human and Nial thinks that Kate found it on her research trip. Kate is a movie director in Hollywood but needs financial backing but doesn't want it coming from Garrett. Garrett uses his charm and money to get Kate to agree so they are now making a movie together. With Nial, Sebastian and Winter on location to help protect them from danger, Roman gives Kate the Ok to follow her fantasy and to be with Garrett sexually. Kate learns the truth about Garrett and Roman being vampires and past lovers and that only makes her fantasies hotter. When danger ends up on their doorstep they all learn what they would do for each other plus what they need to all be together.
