While reading this series I always wondered where the dragon tooth warriors were from. Now we get three stories to help us understand where they came from and where they are going.
Before becoming a dragon tooth warrior Alexander felt his firestorm. A firestorm for the Pyr is when you find the one and only female who can carry your offspring. Some of the Pyr have gone hundreds of years without meeting their destiny, but lucky for Alexander he found his. Sadly soon after they fulfilled the firestorm, conceived a son, and were married, Alexander had to leave. The pledge he had made to protect the darkfire crystal called him to duty for 8 yrs leaving his young wife and child alone. While in his time only 8 yrs has pass it has been thousands of years for Alexander because the darkfire crystal time travels his group of warrior anywhere and anytime they are needed. Katrina was happily married with a new born son, when one day her loving husband never came home. Afraid she and her child would starve she married an older man that hated her son. Then one day while making pottery she turns to find her first husband back after 8yrs. Forgetting about everything but her love for him, she tosses caution to the wind and gives herself to Alexander, until her now husband comes home.
