Hey guys, Justin here.
Are you having fun celebrating the Marked by Hades release?
I had NO idea release parties lasted so long and were so much fun! Then again, since I wasn’t the main character of the first book (Forged by Fate), I didn’t get invited to come out and play as much as my brother, Theo.
But now I’ve been asked to talk about the first time I met my Mate. I’m not really sure that’s a good idea, considering my initial feelings of this whole Mate-Thing…Hell, I gave my brother, Theo, shit for NINE centuries about the topic.
He’d waited all those years (can we say busting pants?) for his Mate. I so was not going to do that—and didn’t.
Then again, I was just a stupid idiot—totally fighting the inevitable—and the inevitable turned out to be pretty freaking amazing. I can say that now and hold firmly onto my Man Card, so just try and take it—I dare you. I don’t have fangs like my brother, but my fist is just as lethal.
Okay, not just as lethal, but pretty damn close.
Describing my first meeting of my Mate is a little complicated. Technically the first time I met her, I didn’t know she was my Mate. And let’s just say…our first meeting was kind of hot—her dressed in all that tight, black leather, and those lips, and—You’ll have to read the story to get the details, but I might have a little excerpt of one of our…meetings posted below for you, so read on.
But the first time I realized who—er—what she was, I didn’t respond so…lovingly. Just don’t hold it against me for too long, like I said earlier, I’m a knucklehead sometimes. A certain family member, who just happens to have a black belt, helped me see the error of my ways.

Justin, my brother, always fought the idea of a Mate. Never believed just one woman could be enough for him.
But I knew. From the moment I was created and first told of my fated Mate I knew I would wait for mine. I didn’t know exactly why, but I trusted my instinct. My Creator.
I went and got Justin—more interrupted Justin—and dragged him back to the diner. When I finally got the nerve to approach her, outside the diner, she laid me flat.
As in kicked my ass. It was both amazing and aggravating. She was in danger, and in my distraction, her used her skills as a black belt and busted me up. The amazing part…she was strong, independent, and brave.
Fated Mate bond or not, how could I not fall for that type of woman?
**Looks at Justin** And don’t even try to take my Man Card, bub. You’re just as sappy as I am

Excerpt from Bound by Hades with Justin and Yvonne…
Need stampeded through his body, though, and sent his hand shaking. That never happened. When it came to women, he was more confident and sure than tentative and tender. What was this woman doing to him? He hated how out-of-control he felt around her and hated even more how much he needed to touch her.
He gave her knee a squeeze, then lay down beside her.
“What are you doing?” She tensed and went to roll away.
He grabbed her by the hip and turned her to face him. “Just relax.”
Inches separated their bodies. The creak of her leather garb punctuated the small distance between them. Warm breath dusted his face, and her gaze drifted down. Whether she realized it or not, her tongue sneaked out and moistened her lips and teased that damned lip ring again.
That was the sexiest thing ever.
His hand traced the contours of her hip, then down to her thigh. She wiggled closer. Black pupils ate up her sage irises, and her chest expanded with a deep breath until her breasts nearly touched him.
They were fully clothed, so maybe…
Her hand traced up his chest to his neck, and she tapped his bottom lip with her forefinger. “If only I could touch you,” she whispered as she tunneled her fingers through his hair.
“You are.” Even through her gloves, the warmth radiated. He leaned into her, wedging his leg between hers.
She hissed in a deep breath and fisted her hand in his hair, tugging some strands. Her jaw clenched, and she leaned up as if to kiss him, but then settled against the pillows again. “Justin. We shouldn’t do this.”
“Shhh.” Shifting more of his weight against her core, he said, “Let me take care of you.”

Thanks for stopping by to celebrate the new release! Since I shared, you have to. How’d you first met your mate? Or, what do you humans call it? Boyfriend or girlfriend—wife—jeez, let’s just say significant other!
And if you don’t currently have one, feel free to get creative and tell me how you’d like to first bump into your SO. J
One choice away from eternity…
Blurb: For 911 years, Gatekeeper companion Justin Bradford has denied the possibility of being mated to only one woman. He enjoys them all too much to settle down. So when he feels his mate’s Ahavah mark surface, his first instinct is to ignore it. But when he sees the leather-clad beauty in need of his help that’s easier said than done…
Yvonne wakes up naked on a cold park bench in a small town with no memory of who—or what—she is. All she knows is the gentle man who woke her was turned to dust when she touched him. And now the strange mark that appeared on her shoulder throbs in the presence of the raven-haired man now offering to help her…
As Justin and Yvonne navigate the mystery of her past, their bond grows, but the secrets they discover and the sacrifices that must be made could be enough to rip them apart for eternity.
