Waking up not knowing who you are or where you are is not fun, especially for Rachel. Waking up and being thrown into a fight with a werewolf brings a whole new meaning to living a nightmare. Rachel is a woman who, like a few others, have been kidnapped and are being experimented on. Being held captive at what is believed to be a mental hospital, Rachel meets a young girl, Livia, who she knows she has to get out of that place. When the chance for an escape comes up, she takes it and gets Livia out. Rachel wakes up again not knowing where she is but knows she is safe for the moment. When she escaped she had help, Bastien, a full blooded wolf shifter, who was searching the facility for his lost brother. 
Things happen quickly between Rachel and Bastien but sometimes insta-love needs to be part of the story to get it moving in the direction of a HEA. Lots of different supernatural beings are introduced throughout the story. I'm looking forward to reading more about the lion shifter.     
Being the first book in the series, I look forward to following Ms. Blackwood's work to see what will happen next.
