Review: This is a short but very informative one about how the Blood Curse started.. in each book before this it tells you some of the story. But this book lets you meet the people before the curse and how one persons life, Timoas, affected the outcome for both Jadon and Jaegar houses and its followers. It also exposes the bravery of the last female Jessenia and how she had cared more for the future of her people and her true love Timoas then for her own life. She also carried the burden of knowledge that as soon as her blood was spilled, the curse would be punishment for all the men who were seeking power by sacrificing all the females in their town.
