Blurb: Ema Marx is in a race against time. Or rather, a race against Apollyon. A powerful weapon—the legendary philosopher’s stone—could tip the scale in favor of whoever gets their fangs on it first. For Ema, obtaining the stone is an uphill battle through love, alliance, heartbreak, and loyalty. Winning should mean the beginning of beautiful things, but the closer Ema gets to her destiny, the more uncertain her future becomes. Could it be this war was never meant for her? And why the heck doesn’t morning sickness adhere to rules of its own name?

Review: Ema is torn, in love with one brother, Jesu, pregnant by the other brother and going to war against their father. Being a new vamprye hasn't made her life easier. Forced to maybe face the fact that she is not the girl the man she loves has been looking for (for hundreds of years), scares her more than realizing she is pregnant from being raped while being held prisoner. Now Ema must do any and everything to keep her child and the other people she loves safe. She enlists the help of a Giant King to help her kill her enemies before they get to her. All she has to do in return is sign her life away as an Elite solider in the Giant Kings Army.
Jesu loves Ema, something he didn't think was possible after his mother and sire commanded him to find and protect the girl from his visions. He first believed Ema was that girl, but too many differences between the two has made him doubt the visions are about Ema. But he still loves her and will do anything to protect her, but will that all end when the Real girl shows up?
