Review:   Cold, callused, and always under control, Eric Pate to many stands on the edge as being on the side of the devil. Full of darkness, he does what he feels he must, to accomplish what needs to be done. Dealing dirty and breaking rules is something he never gives a second thought to.  In charge of the PARA Unit, he has never allowed himself to feel peace,..that is until she came into his life.

Near death when she is rescued from her cage where she was being tortured, Ella, now finds herself in another cage under the protection of the PARA Unit and it’s director. Believing she is the last of her kind, she only wants her freedom until she is drawn to the very man that keeps her a prisoner and possibly could be the mate she has searched so long for.

Love this series, love the characters, plot, the excitement, suspense, danger,... the list goes on and on. I really enjoy how Eric’s personality is a bit twisted and some of the things he does isn’t what you find in a typical book hero. His thinking is different. His enter monster is just below the surface of his skin at times.  Despite  his marginal dark side, he also has a good side, that Ella brings forward in the story. This series is a winner. I can’t wait to read more.
