BLURB: Beckett Murda hates to dwell on the past. But his investigation into the ambush that killed half his Special Forces team and ended his Army career gives him little choice. Just when his team learns how powerful their enemies are, hard-ass Beckett encounters his biggest complication yet—a seductive, feisty Katherine Rixey. A tough, stubborn prosecutor, Kat visits her brothers’ Hard Ink Tattoo shop following a bad break-up—and finds herself staring down the barrel of a stranger’s gun. Beckett is hard-bodied and sexy as hell, but he’s also the most infuriating man ever. Worse, Kat’s brothers are at war with the criminals her office is investigating. When Kat joins the fight, she lands straight in Beckett’s sights . . . and in his arms. Not to mention their enemies’ crosshairs. Now Beckett and Kat must set aside their differences to work together, because the only thing sweeter than justice is finding love and never letting go.

Review: From the very first book of the HARD INK series, Hard As It Gets, I have been a huge, can’t get enough, totally dedicated fan. Every book brings such a well rounded well written story to the reader. I know (again) I am repeating myself from past reviews, but I just can’t express how much Laura Kaye’s books always bring so much emotion and genuine feelings out of me as I devour her work. I think that takes a real talent to be able to submerge a reader into the pages and have them understand and feel a part of the characters and story. I always cry, laugh, fear, and experience a million other emotional feelings while gobbling up every word.
In the 4th installment, Hard To Let Go, we get to have Becket Murda’s story. Oh Becket,...Yummy yum yum! His (not his fault) ugly upbringing have crippled his self worth and makes him believe he could never deserve to be loved by anyone. That is until a pint size hotter that hell fireball pays a visit to her brothers and crosses Becket’s path. Kat Rixey, a Justice Department lawyer, steps up to the plate for her family and in the process also can’t stay away from Becket. The gravitation leads to some pretty scorching hot passion that develops into a very real and powerful relationship. Yet love and romance is only a part of this whole series. It’s about righting some very bad wrongs and setting things straight. Taking back what is rightfully theirs and restoring the honor that they have the right to feel proud of.
I wish this series wasn’t ending. Yes, one chapter in these character's lives has closed, yet it was left wide open in the final pages for their adventures to come. I know there is such a large following for these books that without a doubt, a spin-off series would be well received and be a strong success. So let’s keep our fingers crossed that Laura isn’t done with these characters that we enjoy reading about and love being a part of their journey.
