When psychic Nate Coleman dreams of a murder, he knows it’s a premonition. He can’t forget the image of his ex-lover with a bullet hole through his chest. Nate has no choice but to confront Will and face the skeptical scientist’s ridicule.
Dr. William Ryner doesn’t believe in what he can’t prove. When Nate comes back into his life, it’s not to rekindle their love, but to bring up more of that mumbo jumbo that split them apart.
Despite Will’s refusal to listen, Nate can’t ignore the premonition. And, Will can’t ignore Nate. Before the gunman strikes, Will must either trust in Nate’s ability or rely only on the facts, but if he does the latter, pride could be the death of him.
NOTE: This story is a do-over, and has almost tripled in size! This book was previously published but has been revised and edited in this edition.
Excerpt:
Will hurried across the foyer, avoiding eye contact with his colleagues. If he didn’t get some fresh air, he’d lose his lunch. When Nate walked out on their relationship, he had escaped to London and eventually healed his heart. Or so he pretended. To forgive and forget. Because he wanted to smash his fist through a plate-glass window after seeing Nate again.
Will hadn’t forgiven Nate, not by a long shot.
Once outside, he paced in front of the fountain and itched for a cigarette. But he’d stopped smoking months ago, and he wasn’t going to let Nate derail his control.
Will ran his hand through his hair. He’d miscalculated. When he decided to take the position at SynGen, he’d reasoned the statistical odds of running into Nate would be slight. But not even a year from the date when Will returned home, Nate had shown up spouting nonsense about some goddamn mystical dream.
Yet Will’s heart ached at how good Nate had looked in his black pants and white shirt. So much so that Will couldn’t help undressing Nate in his mind, even while he wanted to wring Nate’s neck. And when Nate had scrunched his nose at him, a habit of his when agitated, Will’s chest tightened from the familiarity. Those blue eyes were still clear, still intelligent, still fucking beautiful. Nate’s best feature, although the total package had given Will a jolt to the heart when they first met.
Will looked down, thankful for his lab coat. He hated how his cock had reacted at seeing his ex again.
Christ. He had to get a grip on his emotions. Nate had come to warn him of an assassin. How could Will take that seriously? No one wanted to kill him. He had no ex-boyfriends lurking in the shadows or disgruntled employees out for revenge. Nate was making a living by exploiting people’s ignorance, but Will would be damned if he was one of Nate’s gullible victims.

Q and A with Viki Lyn
I have two college degrees; I’m on a bowling league; I'm addicted to RPG’s and Japanese yaoi, and I’ve visited almost every sacred site on the planet!
2. If you could go anywhere, all expenses paid, where would you go?
I’ve been to many wonderful places around the globe, and all within a reasonable travel budget. So if I had all expenses paid, I’d stay at an exotic hotel such as one listed on this site! Link Here

3. List three books you have recently read and would recommend.
1. Garry Ryan Detective Lane mysteries: Queen’s Park and The Lucky Elephant Restaurant
2. The Shearing Gun and You Are The Reason by Renae Kaye
3. The Living Universe by Duane Elgin
4. What do you always order in a favorite restaurant?
I never order the same menu item - that’s my husband! I was raised on ethnic foods and I’m willing to try almost anything at least once. That said, if we dine at Sahara, I love to order their lamb dish. The meat falls right off the bone and the rice is orgasmic!
5. What do you hope to accomplish in the next 12 months?
There’s so much to do that I’d be happy if I complete half of what’s on my list. The manuscripts that need completion are:
Secretus, m/m contemporary romance
The third and final book in my Kresnik series
Long, Tall Cowboy and Forbidden Bite: I’m writing these with Vina Grey.
Also look for a cute Christmas story with the boys from Lover’s Trill: Andre and Leo. This story will be published near the holidays by Loose Id.
6. What do you like to read?
Of course I love M/M romances, especially mysteries and contemporaries. I belong to a Mystery book club and enjoy finding new authors. Spiritual books and mythology hold my interest. I’ve dabbled in tarot, numerology, astrology, and the I Ching. That’s why I felt comfortable throwing the tarot cards for Nate and Will in Perceived Love.
7. What do you look for when choosing a book to read?
I love certain tropes: best friends fall in love, opposites attract, young adult coming out stories.
8. What do you need someone to invent right away?
More time! I have so many different interest that I run out of time for writing!

9. What does the word "romantic" mean to you?
a Rafflecopter giveaway
I’m not the romantic in our family, my husband is. J But I consider action over the spoken word. I don’t need candlelight dinners or flowers, but someone who enjoys adventure and who makes me laugh!
10. Can you share something about your works in progress?
I’m almost finished with Secretus. This story is about Mark, a quiet and anxious young man who inherits Secretus, a resort in Big Sur. The last thing he wants is to run a resort, but he can’t sell the property for five years. When one of the guests arrives and finds that his reservation is not on the books, he insists on staying with Mark until a room opens up. The romance between Mark and Graham is an opposite attracts story. It’s also touches on bullying through the use of social media and if it’s really okay to have the motto: it’s business, not personal.
