Divine Promotions was sad to hear of the passing of Mary Lynn Hansel aka A.C. Katt. As both a friend and a wonderful author, she will be sadly missed. We decided we wanted to do one last tribute to her memory so we are doing this tour to honor her and the stories she wrote.

Colin ran out of the room and down the stairs. He found the three Alphas drinking brandy in the library, Armand bending over Marc’s chair with his arm around him speaking softly. Marc’s shoulders were shaking.
Colin ran across the room to kneel in front of Marc. “Excuse me, Alpha La Marche, may I disturb you to talk to my mate in private?” Colin watched as Armand and Rémy exchanged pointed looks.
“You’ll give him a straight answer, no more whining about your insecurities.”
Marc took his head out of his hands and pleaded, “Alpha, please don’t do that to him. Don’t put more pressure on him now.”
Armand nodded to Rémy, and they left the room. Marc stood up, leaving Colin kneeling on the floor. “Either stay or go. I can’t take the torture of not knowing.” Tears fell freely down Marc’s cheeks. Colin grabbed Marc’s knees forcing him to sit down and then put his head in his mate’s lap, tears streaming down his face.
Marc grabbed him, pulled him up and held on tight.
“Oh baby, I was frightened you wouldn’t choose me. I went about the process in such a ham-handed manner. I’m easy going but when something matters, I have no patience. Armand and Rémy already scolded me for not giving you more time. Does this mean you’re staying?” Marc’s voice was hesitant, he who was always so sure.
I did that to him. I’ve got to tell him I love him. I can’t do this to either of us.
Colin nodded his head. “I can’t stop myself and even I’m tired of using my scar as an excuse, so I don’t get hurt. I love you. I have to admit it because the feeling is so big and bright it frightens me. I’ll be loyal and faithful to you for the rest of our days, I swear.”
“Sean and Ian convinced you?” Marc asked carefully.
“They didn’t need to. You already convinced me that you loved me, I doubted myself. At first, I felt that I was unlovable and the only reason you wanted me was that I was your mate. I didn’t want the others to laugh at you because I was flawed.” Colin again unconsciously touched his scar.
“The scar will never go away. They tried plastic surgery on the scar itself. The doctors talked about a skin graft, but my father said no when they told him that the skin would appear mottled, different from the other skin on my face. I suppose a good plastic surgeon can fix the scar so that it doesn’t look so horrific, it’s been years, and they have new techniques. I never had the money to get it done after my parents died. I’m on a private insurance plan, a cheap one that doesn’t pay for plastic surgery to cover old scars.” Colin was hesitant. He wondered if he hadn’t put Marc off him entirely.
“I’ll take you any way I can get you. If you want the scar fixed, we’ll do that when we come back. But know this— it doesn’t matter to me, mate or no mate. I’m not that superficial.”
