Music evokes emotions. That’s why there’s music in films and tv series; it becomes especially effective at high emotion moments and makes us sympathize or empathize with the characters.
I never write without music. Here is a playlist that worked well for me while writing, and even now I find it describes well the atmosphere of the book.
